i appreciate your pun dean... but not really the sentiment. i didn't put this up because i found it funny. i thought it said a lot, not least that occupation doesn't always have to be obvious and neither need the way people choose to retaliate.
i just re read my comment. i hope i didn't sound too harsh dean. i didn't mean to, i just meant that sometimes i am serious.

and i've only just read this after writing my Greek salad v Turkish salad post......
ouzo was also stolen from Turkey too btw
wasn't it more just something they left behind after invading everyone?
There was no such place as Turkey until 1922, and Greece has only existed for a hundred years or so more than that. Call me old fashioned, but I think these things are important. Kebabs by the way are Chinese. Just sayin'.
i was counting the ottoman empire as being turkish... i should have been more specific. this project is already boring me.
